Olivia Dade has done it again with World’s Okayest Oracle (Reluctantly) Seeks Demon (publication day August 11, 2026)! The second in her Supernatural Entanglements series (after 2025’s ZomRomCom), WOO follows Gwen Wexloff, an entirely ordinary human oracle who has never had world-changing visions until recently, and Hugh Blacke, a demon lawyer on the Supernatural and Enhanced Ruling Council. It begins immediately after the events of ZomRomCom, when Gwen’s friends, including the vampire Max/Gaston, human Edie, and trolls Kip and Lorrie kill all of the zombies that have been released and given access to the containment zone and its residents for some nefarious reason.

Gwen, who met Hugh twenty years ago when he was at her disastrous oracular verification exam, is given the job of going to him and recruiting him to assist in investigating a possible human/ fae conspiracy to begin a war on the other enhanced and supernaturals. Thankfully, he remembers her despite her disguise as Guy Fieri and exhaustion from her recent vision and non-obvious, early pregnancy, and he comes along to the Containment Zone to investigate. I love Olivia Dade’s brain, because she has the serious demon council member Hugh, when he needs to wear a disguise, happen to have a Prince costume, so Gwen taunts him with Prince lyrics.

I love Gwen and Hugh! In this world, demons are always warm, with a scent like campfire smoke. And Gwen is kind and determined to save the world as only she can, as she is now having visions that foretell a genocide.

The conspiracy is bigger than anyone realizes, and though Gwen and Hugh are fake-dating to convince the officials that that’s the reason he’s within the Containment Zone, when Hugh insists that she stay with him so he can monitor her visions, things between them progress quickly. As a half-human/half-demon, Hugh has a surprising enhanced ability, and something of a painful, lonely backstory despite his current wealth and power.

I loved this book so much I got caught back up in reading it as I was writing this review. It’s funny, the spicy scenes are very hot, and there are huge stakes when Gwen is abducted as part of the conspiracy. Gwen is “built for comfort rather than speed” so it’s also fat-positive! Don’t miss this one!
